Because of the issues around streaming disservices and Digital Restrictions Management (DRM) I've been thinking of replacing movies with books. Luckily, the transition isn't as difficult as one may think, as many movies are in fact derived from books. Therefore, I will present here a list of movies or series that are originally books.

It's been a while. I had to put Fedora on Miller the Chromebook,
because I could not get sound working under Guix System. I had to
build Haunt from source code, because Fedora deprecates nscd,
which Guix requires. I set up Trisquel on Farnsworth as a server
running Jellyfin and SFTP, so I can stream my media to the
televisions, and I can do my backups over the network. We got
Spectrum internet now, and it is working well. I like how we now have
a router on the main floor, so I can get Ethernet. Plus, we get
television service!
My psychiatrist said I had high cholesterol. I reckon it's from being overweight and not eating right. I've been trying to eat the McDougall diet again, in hopes that it will be remedied.

17:10. I wrote a post on Mastodon to the Free Software Foundation about the sorry state of technology and our society.
Society won't change. They'll continue to conduct their business under the control of Meta and Google. The only solution is to reject technology and the society that is controlled by it. Eventually, the gap between digital society and offline society will be so great that free software users will have to start navigating the world like a Mennonite, using their worldly neighbors as proxies to buy groceries off Amazon. The future is terrible, and I have no reason to expect any improvement.

A lot has changed in three months. I've stopped eating fake meats and cheeses. I now eat oatmeal for breakfast with apple butter and hemp seeds. For dinner, I have potato soup, sweet potato stew, bean burritos, breakfast lentils, and more. For drinks, I have Chinese white tea.
In the past few weeks, I've been eating a lot of rich food. Vegan ham and cheese sandwiches; vegan macaroni and cheese; full-fat hummus with bread. If I keep this up, I'll be one hundred sixty pounds again, which is in the overweight range, and makes my pants too tight.
Woke up at 11 a.m. Got fully dressed. Did not make my bed. Took my medication. Had corn flakes for breakfast, with almond milk and soy milk. Used up all the milk. Had some coffee.
July 22, 2023. I abstained from electronics and pens for 25 hours, for Shabbat. We went to Aldi; I got pies and hummus. I read the weekly Torah portion in English. I watched television with my mom and Mike. I napped. I ate Clif bars and coffee for breakfast. I had pizza for dinner, with pie and ice cream. Took out trash.
I got up at around 8 a.m. I got a cup of water and took my pills. I packed hummus, bread and a can of Pepsi. Mom and I got in the car.
I got up at 9:30 a.m. Mom was talking with her boyfriend Mike. I had a scary dream about my ex boyfriend Dylan. I punched him and got in a fight.
Installing GNU G-Golf on Fedora is a little tricky, since you have to do the installation manually. This article explains how to do it.

Today is Memorial Day. We got up at 6:00 a.m. to leave with Aunt Sue to go down to Verona and Monett, to tend to Grandma's grave. I rushed to eat my raisin bran, as we thought Aunt Sue would be arriving at seven, not six.
I got up at five o'clock in the morning. I adapted Fedora's Sway config to Trisquel. It works quite well. I can lock my screen and handle volume, and other basic things one would expect. Hopefully I can stay in this environment for some time, and not need MATE.
Mom woke me up at 10:00 a.m. for my interview at PetSmart. I quickly got dressed and combed my hair and beard. The hair did not stay down. I ended up having to use my mom's brush.
Got up at 10:00 a.m. Tried to get on laptop and configure SASL on
Gajim. Singpolyma had to reset my connection, and now I can join
#fsf. With Gajim, I have emojis and image uploads. I didn't have

I got up at 11:11 a.m. I took my pills. I took my B12 (I forgot to yesterday.) I drank some bubly bounce.

I have made it my goal to stop cursing. Not only is it impolite, but it's something you can't turn on or off. You have to stop completely if you want to make sure the words do not slip from your mouth. Whether at work, over the radio, or around new people, you don't want to be caught off guard. Additionally, using curse words can often obscure our thoughts, attaching a strong emotion to something without actually describing what is happening.
My mom makes these recipes for me regularly. All of them are vegan, low in fat, and follow the McDougall diet plan.
I couldn't sleep well last night. I ended up breaking my rule of no phones in bed by grabbing my mobile device to look at IRC until I fell asleep.
I did not take my phone to bed. I awoke at 4:00 a.m. I went back to bed at 6:00 a.m. and finally got up (for good) at noon. I cannot say for certain whether keeping my phone out of bed has offered any improvement.
Woke up, called into work. Too much to do today. Did not get any sleep.
Saturday 20220924 08:00 CDT Woke up at a decent time. Ate a vegan blueberry scone I got from David Russell Thursday (20220922) with some matcha tea that Mom got me Monday (20220919) while wearing a blue and white striped robe. Got dressed with my green and grey checked button-up shirt and my black broadfall "Amish" pants.
Aunt Sue took me to work this morning. Uncle John picked me up. I bought Mom a pack of cigarettes. Yesterday (20220809), I bought myself a Missouri Meerschaum pipe, a pipe cleaning tool, and some Captain Black Dark for $18. Work today was very slow.
I stayed home from work. I did not want to be alone for three hours while everyone else did the audit. Mom even got me to the parking lot.
