Wikipedia is an open-content encyclopedia which relies on the contribution of
individual web-surfers. It is based on the wiki model of online publishing
which allows anybody to edit the contents. Since its inception in January 2001
it has seen tremendous growth in terms of the breadth and depth of the topics
covered.
